چکیده

Diabetic retinopathy is the most common vision-threatening chronic microvascular, microangiopathy complication of diabetes militias. We have designed this cross sectional observational study to understand role serum lipids and random plasma glucose level with severity diabetic (DR). This was accomplished 210 patients that came us in clinic. There were two groups: Group A - All DM no apparent sign (Grade I) B Patients any signs II V). (DR) graded according The International Clinical Retinopathy Disease Severity Scale on dilated fundus examination phtotograpgy. Serum (Total, LDL, HDL cholesterol triglycerides) then assessed NCEP ATP III guidlines. correlation DR plasm glucose. found total triglycerides played a detrimental likelihood developing more severe form dependent their levels (P<0.05). Association LDL different grades also significant However, association VLDL (P>0.05) insignificant. Similarly, values cholesterol, showed rise macular edema (DME) In present study, thus concludes along strict glycemic monitoring control, control hyperlipidemia noteworthy prevent progression DME.
